Frozen Fun for the Family
The Snow Carnival is a purpose built indoor or outdoor attraction that contains a number of exhilarating snow experiences for the entire family. Race down gigantic snow slides, experience a real snow blizzard, throw snowballs at our cheeky elf and then build and decorate your own real snowman! Larger than life snow sculptures complete this magical experience that delights both young and old.
The snow itself is as real as it gets and is freshly prepared every hour ensuring maximum satisfaction for every guest. When housed indoors, our purpose built tent is climate controlled to a fresh feeling – 5 centigrade and guests are provided with “snow coats” to keep them warm.
The snow sculptures can be created in an incredible array of different themes and styles even incorporating local elements such as famous landmarks or regional celebrities. An award-winning team of artisans make the snow come to life with their delightful depictions of nature, architecture, people and places.
1. SNOW SLIDES
Our slides are 25 metres long with varing inclines. Each visitor is given a pass that is valid for three rides on the snowslides.
2. SNOW MAZE
Metre-thick walls with several fun objectives to complete on the way, it takes on average 10 minutes for each person to solve.
3. SNOW SCULPTURES
Giant artworks carved entirely out of snow carved by our specialist team of world-class sculptors.
4. SNOWBALL THROWING
A 10 minute show featuring our comedy elf performer whose routine will delight and amuse! Whilst the elf is performing, the audience is directed to build and throw snowballs at him. Prizes are given for the most accurate aim!
5. SNOWMAN BUILDING
A 15 minute attraction where kids are provided with everything required to build and decorate a snowman. Professional photographs are taken of each snowman and can be purchased as a souvenir prior to leaving the Fun Zone.
FACILITY OVERVIEW
The Snow Carnival can be housed
outdoors when climates allow or
indoors within existing structures,
rented temporary structures or custom
built air domes. Structures must be
insulated to a minimum of R25 insulation and refrigerated to – 5 Celcius.
